I was originally not going to write this post this week. Like most things, life just got away from me. It also didn’t help that my lovely husband accidentally spilled cool aid all over our internet modem. So instead of working on amazing blog content for you guys we worked around the house until the new modem arrived. Well, that and we hit up the base craft fair.
Our front yard is starting to look like we belong in the neighborhood. Especially with this adorable bunny banner I snagged for $5 at the fair! Super adorable right?? I think it’s the perfect addition to my spring wreath! Don’t you?
I also, with the helpful hand of my husband, planted down new grass seed in our paddock/dog yard, cleaned out the barn and planted some vegetable’s in the old horse trough in what is now our drive way. Even our neighbor swung on by to let us know she really liked how our yard was turning out. I also, started sanding down pieces of old furniture so that I can begin painting them and make them look fabulous!
Last time on the WIWF …
Travel/Learn German: We actually DID a bit of traveling! My little family spent the day in Trier, Germany and had such a wonderful time! We went to this beautiful gothic cathedral and I just can’t wait to tell you all about it in my next travel post. Here’s a little sneak peak at what you’re in for:
Blog Goal: Facebook Likes: We moved up a little bit in my Facebook world. I have 15 NEW likes and I am so happy to have so many new friends here on the blog. If you’re new make sure check out my about me page and find some awesome content that I am sure you’re going to love.
Being an Awesome Wifey/Mommy: Guys this was SO hard this week. I swear I just couldn’t do it this week. My sweet little girl is heading straight ahead for the terrible twos. It was a week full of struggles and snuggles for this mama. But I just know that next week will be better and with the cold weather finally lightening up a bit, we can head out side and work out some of those trouble maker issues.
Finish the Kitchen Table: I will finish this table if it KILLS me. I am super tired of eating dinner in the living room and having to battle it out against dogs and baby. I just want to eat my dinner in peace, with my husband and talk about our day. So the table WILL get done. Just you watch.
Blog Goal: Content: I had the absolute BEST blogging day since switching to wordpress and adding spam filters to my google analytics this past week. I am hoping to post some more amazing content for the rest of March to really help me reach a personal goal of 10K views on the blog in one month. I came close a couple of times but haven’t quite gotten there yet. I always seem to fall short. But this month I am projecting to hit my goal! But in order to so I really need to focus on my content. Make sure you’re getting my best focused work. Nothing less than the best for my readers and friends.
Wife Life Goal: I want to ATTEMPT to go on a date or spend some sort of quality time with my husband. He’s taking on a special duty assignment next week and it means he should get more down time and have a more structured schedule. I can only hope it’s true. I miss having him around. He’s a really great motivator and helps keep me focused on things that I want for myself. I need him and I miss him desperately. So next week my goal is to find time for him and for us. Make our marriage a priority even if it kills me!
